Love the way the colors tear the serenity and naiveté of b/w - guess that's where the simplicity gains complexity... but also the fragility of the glass of blue (?) wine and the sense of uncertainty that comes with the context of where it is placed - next to a nervous, or perhaps just a bit too curious a foot. Perhaps I percieve the foot this way due to the way it leans as well as the fact that it is wrapped in some bling-bling - and don't forget it's make up - as if it begged for attention and would do just about anything to be noticed, to be recognized... even if it would result in destruction of the scene, of serenity, of the pure white... picture speaks... it's telling that something that threatens the whole image is about to happen any second - a threat hanging in the air... the blue within the glass seems pretty charming as long as it stays contained.... but the foot, this nervous, surious, anxious war painted right foot could just flip it over... and that would change everything - EVERYTHING! The serenity, the clean white, would turn into drama, it would be stained... just as:

"Through the praxis of escaping the dreadful present and chasing the ideal future, fuelled by expectations and hopes provided by our belief in growth and progress, we might be perpetually transforming the excitement of hope that belongs in future – potentiality of a dream – into the uncertainty of being in-between, i.e. open-ended extended present – actuality of real lived life. Imagine the innocence of pure white snow that, as soon as walked on, gets forever stained by impurity.", (Agic, forthcomming)

Yes, imagine that!
Nice picture.

Complex Simplicity

Everybody's worried about tomorrow
Will they see tomorrow
I'm just tryna get mine off today
Momma said tomorrow ain't promised
So i'm tryna live like it's my very last day

You can't spend your life
Being in fear of all that may be
You gotta press on
You gotta be free
you gotta breathe
inhale exhale
come on

Bounce ohh, with me tonight
Get bold, with me tonight
Put the choke up in the sky
Wave your glasses high cause
We ain't got no choice but to party
Party it all away
We're gonna party for brighter days
Party cause everything's gonna be alright

Everybody's worried bout the negative
Looking at the worst of things
I'm just tryna celebrate my life
Momma said be young while you can be young
Life only gets rougher
I'm just tryna keep my youth alive

I won't be held down
With all the things that happened in the past
Daddy he wasn't there
Momma she's gone now
I gotta be grown
I need you to hold me down

Bounce ohh, with me tonight
Get bold, with me tonight
Put the choke up in the sky
Wave your glasses high cause
We ain't got no choice but to party
Party it all away
We're gonna party for brighter days
Party cause everyday's, gonna be alright

Party
All night
Don't let it get you down
It's just life

Party (oh come one and party)
All night (all night)
Don't let it get you down babe(don't let it get you down)
It's just life
Oh, yeah

Bounce ohh, with me tonight
Get bold, with me tonight
Put the choke up in the sky
Wave your glasses high cause
We ain't got no choice but to party
Party it all away
We're gonna party for brighter days
Party cause everyday's, gonna be alright

Haris, we dont know eachother, have never seen eachother, and yet, I know we've met....you seem to understand me so well....perhaps you are a psycho analyst? either way, its scary to see how close you get to describing my personal plight.....too scary..

Don't be scared Gloria :)) (and perhaps a psycho analyst is a bit strong - simply "a psycho" or "a psychotic analyst" would be somewhat closer, I guess)

:))

I believe that people can get rather close to the heart of the soul - or to the core of each others sentiments - by just devoting a surprisingly small amount of time trying to understand rather than know. Or in other words, a lifetime spent on chasing after success or progress (or happiness or glory) - whatever their definition - is wasted if the chase is propelled by egocentric me-me-me or I-I-I value, so typical of contemporary West. We can't understand ourselves by ourselves and in and for ourselves - not now nor ever - we only see ourselves through the people we encounter and most importantly through the people we cherish... so we SHARE... we share moments, we share thoughts, ideas, we share time and space - and the most amazing thing is that this sharing really isn't that time consuming at all, as one initially would've supposed. Just taking a brief moment to stop and genuinely think about something your friend said, did, made, wrote (or something he or she didn't say, do, make, write) is kind of small action the reward of which is priceless, eternal and unlimited - never can one feel as appreciated as when recognized by anyone, and especially when recognized by the ones who really matter.
So, what I'm trying to say is that there's nothing extraordinary here in the ways sentiments get noticed and recognized... here the hidden emotions sometimes surface´... here we try to understand... and that is the magic of this place... this little cage of ours that Igor built... these Friendlands of amazing portraits of sounds and sentiments... these is where we become - continuously.

So, don't be alarmed... don't be scared... strange things happen in here but they are all pretty nice.
:)
