Learn to fly

Run and tell all of the angels
This could take all night
Think I need a devil to help me get things right
Hook me up a new revolution
Cause this one is a lie
We sat around laughing and watched the last one die

I'm looking to the sky to save me
Looking for a sign of life
Looking for something to help me burn out bright
I'm looking for a complication
Looking cause I'm tired of lying (trying)
Make my way back home when I learn to fly

I think I'm done nursing the patience
It can wait one night
I'd give it all away if you give me one last try
We'll live happily ever trapped if you just save my life
Run and tell all the angels that everything is alright. . .

Fly along with me, I can't quite make it alone
Try and make this life my own.....

FOO FIGHTERS

Hey, wzup peeps? Why aren't you reacting on my comment? I thought it was genious:)) It is a puzzle... I thought you'd get it right away. Or maybe you did of course but it was just too damn easy:)) This eight-item-list is the first thing that I thought of when looking at Glorias picture of ... well not directly this eight-item-list but the very platform that gave rise to it... well, well...

And than the strange coincidence emerged: number 1 is named "Gloria".
Hehehe

I think you nailed it here:
"Or maybe you did of course but it was just too damn easy :))"

Just kidding, it was a good one but I've been listening too much to that album and the 7th song that I “solved” the puzzle immediately. But I understand that it may be harder for others.

Well it's nice to see ANY kind of response, really:))

@ Haris "Well it's nice to see ANY kind of response, really"

Yeah, tell me about that ;) I've been “photoblogging” every day for almost three years now with almost no response (in comments). But that doesn't stop me from continuing 'cos I know that photo/music/lyric combination just can't go wrong. It goes from the heart to the heart. Punctum!
But I also got some response (in private, via e-mail…) from people that do not feel like leaving public comments, do not have time to do that etc. They support my work as well.

You paraphrased Nick Cave once:
"I thought of my friends who had died of exposure
And I remembered other ones who had died from the lack of it"

You're right!
You're absolutely right!
But you are also aware of the fact that there is a certain difference between you and I, my friend, and that is that I have issues with this shit:)) I feel like a mackerel in the middle of Sahara, caught between two sand dunes, that most certainly will die of dehydration unless the dry periods aren't frequently broken by rich and heavy monsoon of applauds...
It's a burden, a cross too heavy to bear, believe!
And what's worse, I haven't been aware of it until you opened up my eyes with that quote of the Bono on the back of the cover of that book of yours (you can right it 'coz I don't remember the exact words).
I guess it could be explained as an urge for recognition caused by feeling of insufficiency or inadequacy. But hey, some people really do some crazy shit with the same aim of filling that big great gap within so I reckon that using the art (either self-produced or consumed and experienced) as a magnet for other peoples attention in order to mend the broken heart, fill in the gaps inside (or perhaps at least to "mind" them) is still kind of harmless. Now how's that for bloating oneself? I should stop now!
:))
And, :)), yes, I have paraphrased, but more often I have in fact literally quoted those words of Mr Cave, not once but gazillion times, since they really are worth repeating. So thank you for repeating them - and, most of all, thank you for hanging in there even when the cage we share seems dark and lonely... you see:
"[...] there’s love here nonetheless, you see
You’re safe here amongst the friends
Yes, there are times when we don’t have a clue
But most times we understand"

I love this place!

Haris,
are you psychic? The name correct of course, but you knew that...the number 40? my current age...New Years Day? on of my favorite songs...Party girl? used to be and I partied hard for a while there...the rest are a bit more personal, and for now, I'll leave them unspoken.....:-)

Oh, please stop it! I'm blushing now - I wouldn't wanna drown under the rain of applauds :)))

The funniest thing is the way colors match - and thus the associations, you see:))
